Nico Parker Rocks Classic Aughts Fashion in Tribeca Red Carpet Look

Nico Parker stunned in a chic updated take on the bandage dress trend from the mid-aughts at the Tribeca Festival premiere of her new film, How To Train Your Dragon.

On Wednesday, June 11, Parker, 20, wore the stunning strapless mini dress by Schiaparelli with a pair of black statement earrings and pointed-toe black pumps.

For the look, Parker collaborated with celebrity stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, who also styles actresses Florence Pugh and Simone Ashley.

Parker, the daughter of actress Thandiwe Newton and director Ol Parker, is already the spitting image of her stylish mother, who starred in the 1998 adaptation of Toni Morrison’s Beloved and the Mission: Impossible franchise.

The bandage dress has seen a comeback onscreen and off recently. Most notably, Oscar winner Mikey Madison wore a blue bandage dress in a pivotal scene in 2025 Best Picture-winner Anora. The cut of dress was first invented in the mid-1980s by Hervé Léger and shown on the runway in 1992.

The young actress is a star on the rise, having also starred in Suncoast opposite Woody Harrelson in 2024, and made a brief appearance in the first season of The Last of Us in 2023.

Parker plays Astrid in the live-action adaptation of Dreamworks’ beloved 2010 animated film, How to Train Your Dragon. Astrid befriends Hiccup Haddock (Mason Thames), the awkward teenage son of the tribe’s Viking chief (Gerard Butler) who is secretly training a banned dragon named Toothless. Eventually, the pair fall in love through their passion for dragons in this fantasy-meets-coming-of-age story.

The franchise is based on the series of children’s books by Cressida Cowell, the first volume of which was published in 2003.

How To Train Your Dragon hits theaters on Friday, June 13.
